Supercalc is an easy-to-use, smart and reliableexpression calculator for Windows. An expression calculator gives the user the ability to type an equation exactly as it is to be evaluated. This allows for much more intuitive use of the calculator.
Instead of the cumbersome buttons associated with a traditonal windows calculator, you simply type what you want.
Supercalc is a fully functioning Application Desktop Toolbar, just like the standard Windows Taskbar. The Supercalc window can be docked at either the top or bottom of the screen, or can be left floating by itself.
When it is docked, Supercalc can be made to auto-hide, so that it can remain hidden unobstrusively at the top of the screen. When the mouse is moved over it, Supercalc will slide into view allowing you to perform a quick calculation.
Supercalc also installs its own icon in the system tray area of the Taskbar. Even when you close the Supercalc window down, Supercalc will always be accessible to you. A simple double-click of the Supercalc icon will popup the window for quick calculations.
There are three modes of operation:
■ Computer Mode — Uses the Pentium processor’s built-in integer operations to perform arithmetic. The C language syntax is used to express an equation. All C operators are supported, including arithmetic and relational operators. The result of an expression can be displayed in one of four number systems: Binary, Octal, Decimal and Hexadecimal. In addition, the binary width of the result can be adjusted to display the result with either 8, 16 or 32bits of precision.
■ Scientific Mode — Uses the Pentium processor’s floating point operations to perform high-precision arithmetic. All C floating-point operators are supported, and all calculations have up to 19bits of precision. This mode has the advantage of using decimal numbers in calculations, and works just like a normal calculator would. The disadvantage is that calculations will not be 100% accurate, due to the way floating point numbers are represented inside the computer. Floating-point results can be displayed in fixed or exponential format.
■ Fraction Mode — Provides 100% accurate results by representing all numbers using fractions instead of a single floating point number. All arithmetic is performed using fractions, so you can be sure that all calculations will result in a correct answer. In additional to this, decimal numbers can be used in expressions as well, and will be converted into fraction form to perform the calculations. Fraction results can be expressed in either rational or irrational form.
Supercalc is highly configurable. The font type and font colours can be adjusted to suit your own personal tastes.
The Supercalc window can also be intuitively resized so that instead of a single strip with the edit fields positioned next to each other, the window can be made taller with the edit fields positioned one on top of the other.
All settings are automatically saved to the registry, and Supercalc can also be made to run each time you log on to your system.
Whatever state you left Supercalc in, this is how it will start up as, whether it was docked and hidden at the top of the screen, or left floating over the desktop at the bottom.
Requirements:
■ Requires common controls library 4.x or greater

CP-Supercalc is an universal and useful way to calculate virtually anything. Whether you are writing, studying, or teaching, you will find it of great use.
CP-Supercalc is a powerfulcalculator that provides you an easy way to calculate almost anything. The expression calculator has various syntaxes of equations. You can check and modify the calculation results whenever you want without opening another window.
The calculator is simple, yet powerful. It is much more useful than a regular calculator because it is more accurate and will even function in the decimal mode. Other calculators have only the binary mode, because these are supposed to be high-precision calculations. With the decimal mode, decimal numbers can be used as well as the integer, and many more. The calculator allows you to choose the decimals mode and precision for the binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal systems. The decimal mode’s precision can be enhanced to 19bits to get very precise results from the calculator.
The first problem of the calculator is the negative number mode. In the latest version, we have added the negative number mode, so you can use positive and negative numbers as a single operation. This saves space in the calculator and is very useful. When the calculator is in the negative mode, only negative numbers are allowed in the equations. If you want to use the positive number mode, just swap the negative and positive numbers of the equation.
For instance, if you are in the negative number mode and the result of the expression is +2, it will appear like this:
-4+2
You can separate this as -(4)+2. If you are in the positive number mode,
+2+4
will be displayed. It is a very simple way. If the positive number mode is not set, the negative and positive number mode will be switched automatically.
Another problem is the decimal calculation. The calculator also has the decimal number mode so that you can get a very precise result. And you can turn on the exponential mode so that the result shows up in fractional form.
You can do exponential calculations, like log2(1+2) (the answer is 2.29). The calculator also supports the find function. You can do the calculation like this: 2.3 = 1+2=3, and the calculator will display 2.3 in the result. When the calculator is performing calculations, the find function shows up. If you press F3 on the calculator,

which comes packed with a bunch of new features.
Not the least of which is the automatic launch on login,
which will keep your always-ready calculator at the
top of the screen.
Oh, and we’ve added some extra configurable settings
to round off the changes nicely.

Version Manager to see what else has been added to CP.
You can see a list of our features here.
Some notes are as follows:
CP-SS does not support Windows 95, 98, ME and NT4 — sorry!
The program will not launch a program while it is open — so no, you can’t save a work and use that session for something else.
(There are ways around this, but you’d be better of saving it to your harddrive and using the CP app from there).
There are a couple of issues that still need addressing:
SP-SS-Dialup does not work when run from another folder than «CP-SS»
SP-SS-Dialup does not work if the default program path is set to Run/RunAs — I haven’t debugged this one yet.

How can I avoid any print statements in my unit tests?
I’ve been hearing about testing frameworks that replace output calls with something automated. How can I have statements that are actually executed in my unit test but are not written to the log?
A:
None of them replace output calls, output calls are one form of tests. Any mock framework does something similar to what you’re describing as replacing code execution with the test.
Mocks replace code execution, but the programmer is still able to write assertions on mock return values, the mock is simply not answering them, so there’s no test results.
Mockito does something similar to replacing code execution, but doesn’t replace assertions.
