MageWorks is a mage simulation combat and crafting game. Players flip through their spellbooks and use their staff to cast the spells. Travel to distant lands discovering new spells and enemies. Spellbooks can be customized! With a unique bookmarking system, players can bookmark their favorite spells which places that spell into a custom spellbook. Using these bookmarks, players can tune their spellbooks to best fit their play-style and select magic that is suitable for different environment types.
Players can also customize their staff! By collecting wood, crystals and flowers in the wild, mages can create ink to draw their designs, carve and shape wood, and grind crystals to create a unique staff. The staff you create can also be 3D printed so you can bring a part of your game into reality!
MageWorks is an Early Access title that is constantly evolving and actively integrates player feedback.
Vulkan, OpenGL or Metal?
We are currently working with our engine to support the latest graphics API’s, i.e. Vulkan, OpenGL, Metal etc. If you choose to use our API you will be able to stay up-to-date with the latest graphics API’s.
Mage Works Play Time — In-game time, like real time. This is how long it will take to complete a game, using the default settings. If you are playing for the first time you will be able to fit 5 hours gameplay in between food breaks.
Next game updates
We are planning on releasing many new updates over the course of the Early Access period. These updates will add new content, bug fixes, improve performance and add other exciting features.

Summary
There are three playable characters. One is a male, one is a female, and the third is a frog. There are three weapons; a hammer, a sword, and a wand. Each has two modes of attack: a standard attack and a magic attack.
There are also different special skills for each weapon and each of the three characters.
There is an expiry date on which the character dies if not used.
Note: I am a female IRL, and I am the frog.
