While Photoshop is a versatile tool with endless possibilities, a few ideas are outlined here for general purposes. We also cover some general techniques that can enhance any image, even those that could benefit from being more perfect.
Mastering Photoshop’s tools
Photoshop has so many tools and features that it’s an overload for most digital artists to remember them all. Fortunately, the software has a help system that assists you in remembering tools and features. For example, on the right side of the display, a menu-like arrangement lists all the tools and features available, and from here you can browse through them (click the menu bar to see the list). You can also access other menu options and settings that enhance a graphics editor’s performance. There are literally thousands of options and settings to explore. Many are self-explanatory, but a few deserve a quick review here.
Working in color mode
Color mode is the default mode in Photoshop (refer to the image in Figure 9-2). The Color mode properties are discussed in this chapter. If you create a new file in RGB (red, green, blue) mode, the Color mode property defaults to RGB (refer to Figure 9-2).
Here are some tips for working in RGB color mode:
Select a basic color or a color that you want to use as a color fill (or background color). This initial color must be the same in every color mode the image will be used in. You can change this color anytime in the working area of the editor.
Create a new image, select the Fill layer, and choose the Solid color option, which is the most common type of fill (refer to Figure 9-2). Choose the color that you want to fill the image with and click OK.
In the Layers palette, you can create a new layer and choose a background color from the Fill Color box. You can also open the Fill dialog box and choose a specific background color.
If you want to use a particular color as a fill and then change it later, add your color in RGB mode and then change the color mode to CMYK (refer to Chapter 5).
When working with color modes, use the Magic Wand or the Color Replacement tool to select the color you want to replace in an image and then choose Edit⇒Fill Color (or choose Edit⇒Fill from the menu bar). Then choose Edit⇒Paste. It may take

C#: How can I send email asynchronously?
I’ve created a very simple class to send email in my application. This works fine when I send emails one at a time, but it is not suitable if I want to send a lot of emails in a short time.
The problem is in this part of my code:
mailMessage.Body = Temp.EmailBody;
mailMessage.From = new MailAddress(fromEmail);
mailMessage.IsBodyHtml = true;
SmtpClient smtp = new SmtpClient();
MailMessage mail = new MailMessage(fromEmail, toEmail);
smtp.Port = 587;
smtp.Host = «smtp.gmail.com»;
smtp.EnableSsl = true;
smtp.UseDefaultCredentials = false;
Estimating the coverage of the risk of congenital anomalies in pregnancy by gestational age at first prenatal visit in Victoria, Australia: a linked birth and cohort study.
Congenital anomalies (CA) are a leading cause of stillbirths and neonatal deaths worldwide, yet reliable estimates of national CA prevalence rates are lacking. To estimate the coverage of the risk of CA by gestational age at first prenatal visit for the first, second and third trimester in Victoria, Australia. We used data on all births and live births from 2001-2005 linked to the Hospital Morbidity Data System (HMDS) and the Birth Defects Registry (BDCR) of Victoria. Analyses were carried out to estimate the coverage of the risk of CA by gestational age at first prenatal visit (5-20 weeks) in the first, second and third trimester. The risk of having a live born infant with a CA, first trimester, second trimester and third trimester was 32.7%, 47.7%, 73.5% and 74.1% respectively. The risk of having a live born infant with a CA was highest for the 3rd trimester, 26.5% (95% CI 26.1-26.9%). An increase in the coverage of the risk of CA was observed between the first and second trimester, but not between the second and third trimester. Improvements in the uptake of maternal screening for CA by gestational age are needed, particularly for the early 3rd trimester. UNPUBLISHED
