Numpy dot() not returning same results as Pyhton multiplication

I’ve written some Python code that operates on very large 2D arrays. I then built my whole test program in a separate module and have it consist of a Python script, a C extension, and a Cython file.
I’ve come across an issue when using the dot() numpy function within the Cython program. This is an excerpt from my Python script where the test goes:

The result is the following

However, the numpy dot() function apparently does not perform the same calculations as the pyton * (the first four) or the pythons * (the last four).
The numpy dot() function returns the following:

I’ve also tried using numpy.sum() and numpy.average() to come up with the same results. This seems to be a problem with the Python to Cython communication of information.
