AutoCAD’s command line (CLI) allows you to run AutoCAD commands and applications with one single command. AutoCAD’s commands can be run from the command line, or from a script. The CLI is run from the command line window (terminal window) using the same syntax as the Windows command line.
AutoCAD has a default AutoCAD command file. When you open the command line window, you see all of the default command files. You can also add new command files.
AutoCAD command files are text files containing AutoCAD commands that can be run from the command line or from scripts. AutoCAD has over 100 different types of command files.
